Helanthium tenellum 'Micro' is a miniature form of the popular tenellum species, producing exceptionally fine, delicate leaves that create a beautifully intricate, grass-like foreground carpet. Its tiny stature makes it particularly well-suited to nano aquariums and detailed aquascapes where scale and proportion are important. Like its relatives, it spreads readily via runners, gradually filling in to create a lush, natural-looking foreground with minimal effort.

Tips for Success

Plant individual stems or small clumps spaced 1–2 cm apart directly into the substrate. Helanthium tenellum 'Micro' spreads via runners and will gradually fill in to form a fine, delicate foreground carpet. It adapts well to a wide range of lighting conditions, though higher light and CO₂ will produce faster, more compact growth. Its miniature size makes it an ideal choice for nano tanks and Iwagumi-style layouts where a fine-textured, low-growing foreground is desired.
