Rotala tulunadensis is an ultra-rare, highly sought-after collector's stem plant originating from Southwestern India. Celebrated for its unique aesthetics, this delicate species features striking, tightly stacked oval leaves that form dense, uniform rosette clusters. While it maintains a refreshing, vibrant light-green foliage under standard conditions, it develops a highly desirable, subtle reddish-purple hue at its tips under high-intensity lighting. Because it branches exceptionally well on its own, it easily creates a lush, compact, and manicured bush that offers perfect contrast against darker green and deep red background species.
Please note that this is a sensitive, advanced-tier plant that requires a stable, established aquarium environment. Unlike common Rotala species, Rotala tulunadensis is highly susceptible to fluctuating water column nutrients, which can cause tip stunting or browning. It heavily favors very soft water and highly consistent, predictable dosing parameters to truly thrive long term.
