Cuphea anagalloidea is a rare and striking South American stem plant that brings an exquisite splash of color to modern aquascapes. Often utilized in Dutch-style layouts and nano aquariums, this unique species features small, rounded leaves that develop a brilliant, "brushed-on" scarlet to deep orange-red coloration under optimal conditions. Because it maintains a strictly upright, compact growth habit, it functions beautifully as a vibrant midground accent or structured "plant street".
Please note that this is a demanding, high-maintenance plant best suited for intermediate to advanced aquascapers. To prevent melting, retain its intense red pigmentation, and promote lush, bushy development, it requires a stable environment with intense lighting, pressurized CO₂ injection, and regular fertilization.
